In Mumbai, the child beggars were aggressive, sad, etc. (just read about it.)

Maybe I was in a really good mood today, but these children became my friends!!! They spoke French and said “Bonjour Madam!”  But then I said Hello and a few of them knew some English.  They asked for one dollar.  I told them I had no money.  One little guy, named Sarajon (I think) grabbed my hand.  He is the one touching my knee in the group picture.  I told him he was my buddy and they all laughed :) We walked up a hill -holding hands- to one “photo stop” to another to reach the bus. They told me all their names. They saw my camera and all wanted their picture taken.  I taught them the words ‘pretty’ and ‘beautiful!’
