I am Melissa and I LOVE writing! I got my first passport in August 2012 and in 1 year I traveled to over 30 countries! This is my story of surviving them- with my husband.
I married my best friend, Ivan, on December 2008 in San Diego, California while we were students at BYU in Provo, Utah. In our first year of marriage we moved 4 times.
Throughout college, we lived in 4 different Utah apartments and one in Georgia and Wyoming. We traveled all over the midwest together with BYU performing groups. During October 2012-July 2013, we lived on a cruise ship performing musical theatre/dance shows. We go back to living and working on a cruise ship this Spring where we will travel to Asia. We may not always have a normal "home," but we are surviving.
I do more than survive. At our reception, I was talking to an older woman from my church who I've grown close to. We watched Ivan on the dance floor and she turned to me and said, "You are going to have one exciting life. You will never get bored." I can honestly say, that is true! My life is CRAZY, but it's also so much fun and I never know what's going to happen next. In Fall 2013, we moved back to our home in Queens, New York City. We are both active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (We're the Mormons!) We love God and we love each other :) Three cheers for our survival!
