Yesterday, November 19, 2013, marked our 1 month mark of being back in New York City, so we are officially nested! It also started the timer for another 1 month: Our 5 Year Anniversary!
Is it just Facebook or is 5 years of marriage a big deal?
As I'm starting to think about making plans, I am grateful for the many wonderful moments we've got to share together in our life thus far! Foremost being this kiss we shared on Disneyland's Space Mountain this year!
I have been married now for 1/5th of my life! Isn't that crazy!!?!?! I am so looking forward to the rest of my life with him. I am looking forward to life getting better, ties getting stronger, wallets being fuller, smiles being bigger and us being happier!
Not that things have been bad, because they haven't.
But days have been hard, and I was figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be, and how was I supposed to be married and how was I supposed to move all over the country and how was I supposed to do long distance, how was I supposed be independent, dependent, work as team, try harder, get less sleep, make more money, do what I love, get stuck doing what I don't love, work with someone I have a hard time with loving, love better, be more tolerant, be forgiving, be patient, lose weight, learn to love exercising, want something I can't have, love things I don't want but do have, be a better friend, be a better daughter, go to church, have better self control, work harder, be nicer, stand up for yourself, be stronger, learn from mistakes, be a good example, grow up.
Can you imagine all these voices in your head?
You probably have them too...
Point is, 5 years wasn't easy to get to.
Point is, I survived!
The next 5 years will BE: better, stronger, fuller, bigger & happier!
This has been the best fifth of my life!
Thank you Heavenly Father!
