Midway, Montana

I'm not sure if there's a place called Midway Montana, because the place we stayed was actually Missoula, Montana!
We actually stayed there a week ago, and I couldn't even remember the name of the city so I had to look it up! I called it Midway, because the only reason why we stopped and camped there was because it was midway between Seattle and Jackson, WY, our next stop!

I am SO GRATEFUL I planned shorter driving days (5-7 hours!)  It gave us time to enjoy the city in the morning or the evening, and it kept us both from getting two tired!

Our campground was small and sweet and we seemed to be the only ones going through the trouble to make a fire that night! But if we were going to go real, grown-up camping by ourselves for the first time ever, we were gunna have s'mores baby!!!

Our previous camping together was as follows:

July 2008
Ivan proposed in front of Granite Falls outside Jackson, WY and then we camped with 3 friends from the theatre and an older actor and his wife, both in their 60's who basically cooked and set up everything!

July 2011
Camping in a friends backyard

August 2012
Astoria, Queens  LDS member Campout in Long Island

Today-September 2013
Cooking 1 meal and sleeping in a truck bed, in the campsite right next to the bathrooms!

Although we both came from fairly intense outdoorsy fathers, our camping experience as a couple was grim.  But all the while, my man can start a fire and make me some yummy dinners in tin foil!

A..... Camping we will go!
See ya later, Missoula! -M
