2,845 miles down

Our Road Trip- 2,845 miles planned, 19 days

Part 1: Seattle
Part 2: Jackson/Yellowstone
Part 3: BYUs: Rexburg and Provo

For my second time in Rexburg, I was pretty impressed!  The campus is beautiful and the city is getting larger.  It seems like a great place to go to school! We also went through Idaho Falls, for about my fifth time.  It's an okay city. The temple is really nice there and there are some restaurants and malls that are only amazing if you've been living in Rexburg or Jackson for too long and need a taste of "the big city!"

After dropping my baby sister of all college, (WAH!!!!) we headed to Salt Lake, Utah, about a 3 1/2 hour drive that seemed a lot longer!!!

I will just say right now, the photo above was the only good photo I got from Part three of our trip, so have fun either reading or switching to another window!

Part 3 was the part I was least looking forward to.  I don't really like Provo, and every time we're there, it seems we have too many people to see with not enough time, yet we are still there for way to long cuz I just wanna get the h-outta there! The only exciting things calling me are Cafe Rio and Zupas, but last month I found out they have BOTH in Vegas, and I'd much prefer the shorter journey there!

So, visiting BYU becomes kind of hassle, and I wasn't looking forward to it!  The Saturday we were to spend there became daunting as I counted 12 different friends we had planned on meeting up with!! Argh! How was I going to do it? I texted Ivan our itinerary and we left the house at 9:10am.

We breakfasted with one of our great couple friends and their little baby girl.  We went on campus and saw some friends get out of rehearsal and shopped at the BYU bookstore.  We met 7 friends at Cafe Rio in American Fork, and took one more friend out for a milkshake! Around 1pm, I was in dire need of a soda.  I was specific!  I wanted to go to the Conoco Gas station in Provo on Bulldog and get a 32oz diet Mountain Dew with a little bit of Code Red.  Specific right?  That's because my freshman roommate and I used to stop by their and get those all the time and it made me so happy.  BUT, I didn't marry my freshman roommate, so instead I got a Diet Dr. Pepper with Cherry at Cafe Rio and filled it up a whopping 4 times!  Try that on for size!

So we successfully visited 3 cousins, 1 cousin-in-law, 1 cousin's baby (1st cousin, once removed?), 1 grandpa, 1 uncle, 1 aunt, 4 friends, 8 couples friends, 3 friends' babies, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Also on our trip, together we gained a total of 18 pounds.  I am not even kidding, get it together, Hoffmans, you're killing yourselves!  We did eat a lot of really good food, though! And so, we have been on the road for like, a super long time and are ready to not live out of a suitcase for a while, is that possible? Stay tuned...

Small Adventures and Antique Store Finds

Yesterday we went to the little town on Poulsbo, North west of Seattle!
It's pronounced "Paulsbow" and it's a little Scandinavian town.

I loved this mural: There were Vikings everywhere!

We went to at least 3 Antique shops, but there were plenty more!  Here are the creapiest things I found there:

Well....Sweet Dreams tonight!

Downtown Seattle tomorrow!!
