Beach Day in Chan May, Vietnam

After our adventures in Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City, we sailed for Chan May. In the morning, we took a shuttle and were dropped off at a resort, where we spent a relaxing day at the beach. 

We laid out, explored the area and went swimming.  

It was a lot like Zuma Beach in Malibu back home. 

It’s seriously beautiful here.

 

Spa Day in Nha Trang, Vietnam

For the past few years we’ve been traveling, I have heard amazing things about Vietnam!

It was beautiful, and the shopping was unbelievable because everything is so cheap!  The currency is called Vietnamese Dong and 1 USD is 21,000 VND. 

A few weeks ago, we heard about a spa at a port we were stopping in Vietnam in a city called Nha Trang.  The spa treatment was $30 US Dollars for an all day pass.  So naturally,  Ivan and I couldn’t pass it up!

We had a mud bath (soak in a large tub of watery mud), sun soak, mineral bath (felt like we were simmering in a  pot of hot chamomile tea), half body massage, shower, dip in the pool and snacks and lunch.  Then we hurriedly raced back to the ship.  We ate our food inside of a tree house that I dreamt about living in.  Everything was gorgeous, warm, relaxing and I totally loved it!!

To be on Vacation is one of the most wonderful things.

To be one vacation with your favorite person is even better!

I haven't brought my laptop out at port the last few days, and my blog writing ops have been limited, but here's a nice photo of us enjoying our spa day in Vietnam! Everything is so inexpensive here and there are loads of things to do, see and shop for! Don't worry, we ARE enjoying ourselves :)

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam

We spent two days in Ho Chi Minh City.  

Two days shopping, eating, and walking around

in the intolerable humidity and crowded streets.

People were very friendly and always offered to give us a ride on their motorbike.

They even claimed to be able to fit "all four of us!"

We ate like kings again at a restaurant run by a Filipino family, and their dogs.

Shrimp, Fish, Fried Rice and Sodas.

 As we sailed away, I laid in the sun on the pool deck, deck 11.  

It was sunny and breezy (finally) and I felt like I was on vacation!
