Why I Love Being Mormon

12-19-08                                             08-20-13
San Diego Temple                           Sacramento Temple

It's been almost 5 years and not much has changed.  I still love being Mormon and I love who I am.
Being Mormon helps me know that!  I have a fun life, and right now, it's pretty easy, because making decisions is easy when you have a best friend around all the time, and when I am surrounded by family!

Last night, Ivan and I went to the temple with his Dad and Step Mom!
Look at us, we are all best buds!!

I know something may happen tomorrow and I will be so stressed and my life with be nut-so again, and  my life will be far from the "easy" pace it's going right now, but for NOW, I know who I am and I am happy.
Maybe some people think the Mormons are crazy or weird, or liars or gossipers, or hypocrites or whatever.  Maybe some of them are.  But being Mormon isn't about perfection, it's about trying your best.  Well, that's all I'm doing, surviving, right?

Being Mormon incorporates me into this SMALL WORLD where everyone knows each other!
I'm already in the small world of THEATRE where everyone "networks" and is friends of friends, plus it's the same in New York.  If they're Mormon, do theatre, and live in New York, I probably know them!  Here is Northern California (well, it's Sacramento area, but for a Southern girl like me, I call it NorCal,) there is a big Mormon community and we run into each other all the time!

Can I get an "Amen" from any Mormons out there!?!
PLACES MORMONS RUN INTO OTHER MORMONS

In N Out Burger
just look for the 14-year-olds in white shirts and ties

Costco
because every 10-person family buys bulk!

Target
those Mormons love a good deal

Disneyland
the happiest place on earth is the perfect family reunion destination for the happiest people on earth!

Lake Powell
again, family vacationing for the larger crowd, you can fit a ton of cousins on the roof of a houseboat

Anywhere in Provo
Ivan and I went to school here and in addition to it being a place where many Mormons live, it's a gathering place for families dropping off their kids at college, or celebrating at the Olive Garden

Any other place I forgot?

In addition to my (un)exclusive membership to the Small World,
I love being Mormon because of the MUSIC
there i am in the front with a curly pony tail...

one of my favorite songs

And we have some pretty awesome buildings..
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true!
For this and so many other reasons, I LOVE being Mormon!
